Cellulitis is a different condition of skin from cellulite. Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the deeper layers of the skin. It is spreading bacterial infection or inflammation of the skin and tissues beneath. This infection can be serious if its not be treated immediately and can be life-threatening if spread deeper into body system.  Early prevention by taking antibiotics prescribed by the doctor is usually successful. It may affect any part of the body especially in lower part of the body like leg.

The doctors and scientists are yet to figure out what actually causes cellulite. However, we found a link between the fat layers and the skin layer beneath it.  For women, cellulites are mostly found in the buttock area, or the thigh area. While for men, the chances are less compared to women because of the criss-cross structure tissue.

There are other factors that actively generate the formation of cellulite on human body. The productions of cellulites on human body are contributed by the hormones. When women start to approach menopause stage, the estrogen level start decreasing, thus blood flow to the connective tissue under the skin also decreases. Collagen plays an important role in the skin tissue where it provides your skin with structure and strengthening your bones.  Less in oxygen circulation also affected collagen production and estrogen level resulting in enlarge fat cells.

Your skin will start to sag, less elastic and thinner throughout aging process which increases the chance of cellulite to develop on your skin. Human metabolism, fat distribution under the skin, ethnicity and circulatory levels are directly relatable to genetic factors which affect the chance of cellulite development.

Balance dietary and healthy lifestyle may help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Unbalanced diet like eat too much fat, carbohydrates and salt may contribute to formation of cellulite. Slim figure doesn’t guaranty from having cellulite on your body because cellulite is more prevalent in people who have excess fat.

Cellulite deposits cause the skin to look dimpled and bumpy. The lumpy appearance on the skin can be found in particular, on the hips, thighs, and buttocks. For women they also tend got cellulite around knees, stomach, triceps areas and saddlebags because existence of three layers of fat in these areas.
