DR RACHEL CHONG THE ELEGANT ARTIST

Dr Rachel Chong Mun Yee is our general aesthetic practitioner specializing in non-surgical rejuvenation, anti-aging treatments (lasers, injectables, dermal fillers), preventive healthcare (general wellness, regenerative medicine). 

She is our traveling doctor, where you can typically find her in Bangsar and KL City. Dr Rachel has trained and practiced extensively in facial and body aesthetics, injectable treatments and skin care which enables her to bring a holistic approach to total body rejuvenation. In addition, she is knowledgeable in all aspects of laser and injectable treatments.

Her patients often describe her as a warm-hearted and friendly doctor with a sweet approach. She’s able to combine her clinical knowledge with an artistic approach to create natural looking results. 

CREDENTIALS

Dr Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from MAHSA University where she graduated under scholarship. 

After that, she served her 2 years housemanship in Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru; and later served under the Department of Anaesthesiology and Pain management. Here, she learned to prioritize the patient’s safety, comfort and pain experience (which she then brings to Premier Clinic). 

Prior to joining Premier Clinic, she served as a Medical Officer in General Hospital Kuala Lumpur (GHKL) which exposed her to a myriad of dermatological cases. She is currently pursuing her Diploma in aesthetic medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. 

Since she joined Premier Clinic, Dr Rachel has undergone numerous aesthetic training to further hone her skills on treatments like Botulinum A injections, dermal fillers, etc.

PERSONAL LIFE

When she’s not in the clinic treating patients, Dr Rachel spends her free time tuning into her artistic side – cooking, candle-making, oil and acrylic painting. You can also find her on a yoga mat or a pilates reformer somewhere on her downtime.

Dr Rachel is also a skincare enthusiast with a keen eye for detail from a very young age which blossomed into a special interest in skin health and dermatology. 

PERSONAL INTERESTS

When asked of what makes aesthetics so appealing to her, Dr Rachel answered:

“We underestimate the effect of our appearance on our day-to-day interactions with others and more importantly with ourselves (…)

Also, it is a fascinating and fast-paced industry where there is always new information, new treatments every week. Hence, I like to keep up with the latest journals to ensure my patients are in safe hands.”
