This treatment may not be suitable if:
- You have been prescribed Roaccutane in the last 6 months
- The treatment area is infected or has dermatitis
- You have experienced abnormal wound healing or keloid scarring
- You are using light sensitising medication
- Prone to seizures triggered by light.
You can get back to your daily routine immediately following treatment as no downtime is required. There are no major side effects for this laser procedure, nor any swelling, scarring or bruising of the skin. You may experience mild skin redness but this is temporary and should subside naturally within 30 minutes.
After a period of several months, your results will improve gradually and your skin should become progressively fairer and healthier with each session. A treatment cycle of 6 sessions is the norm, with each session spaced 2 weeks apart. However, this may vary depending on your skin and our doctors will determine a suitable number of sessions for you during the initial consultation.
