HOW ELLANSÉ FILLERS WORK?

However, on top of that, it also acts as a biostimulator, which continues to produce long-lasting and natural results by enhancing the body’s own natural collagen reserves.

Ellansé helps the body to replenish facial collagen and restore lost volume. As such, it can produce a fuller, more natural look, lasting up to 4 years.

Collagen aids the skin in maintaining appropriate tightness, elasticity and suppleness. It is an important support structure found naturally in our skin. However, over time, with ageing, the skin gradually loses its natural collagen. This results in the skin on the face losing its suppleness and the formation of wrinkles and folds.

Ellansé is made of polycaprolactone (PCL), which is a medical polymer that has been used safely for many years in medical implants and other devices. The Ellansé treatment comprises of microspheres of PCL suspended in a natural gel carrier (CMC).

Developed by AQTIS Medical in Holland from non-animal and non-human sources, Ellansé is totally biocompatible and biodegradable.

Local anaesthetic will be applied prior to the treatment. The normal recovery period is 12-24 hours, but some patients can resume their daily routine almost immediately, with minimal downtime.

However, please note that treatment plans, the results, down time and recovery following treatment will be unique for each patient. As with any injection, there may be side effects such as localised redness, swelling and bruising, but these are only temporary and will disappear after a while.
