Fractional CO2 Laser for Wrinkle Reduction

WHAT CAUSES WRINKLES?

Wrinkles usually come about as we get older, and are creases, folds or ridges in the skin. It is a part of the aging process and cannot be avoided, but may often occur due to facial expressions, damage caused by the sun, smoking, or dehydration. As you age, your skin becomes drier, thinner, and notably, less elastic. This causes wrinkles and other lines to form on the skin as it slowly loses the ability to protect itself from damage.

HOW CAN WRINKLES BE TREATED?

Wrinkles that appear on your skin may be treated using Fractional Laser Resurfacing (Lux1540, non-ablative), a new technology in the aesthetics industry. Laser energy micro beams are used to break down the tissue of the epidermis, after which new, healthy skin grows over the treatment area. Similar to using deep chemical peels or ablative lasers, this new technology can help to replicate the results without the discomfort or downtime caused by regular methods. As your skin heals naturally, the new layer will appear glowing and much more radiant, leaving you feeling and looking younger. Make-up can be used immediately after the procedure and no visible wounds are left on your skin.

HOW OFTEN I NEED TO RETURN FOR LASER TREATMENT?

Your doctor will consult you on the optimum number of treatment sessions but depending on your skin, treatments are generally about 1-4 weeks apart and come up to a total of 4-5 treatments. After each session, your skin should progressively feel firmer and refreshed which leads to a faster recovery time for subsequent visits.* Furthermore, a healthy skincare routine consisting of facials and products should help you to maintain your glowing complexion as well.
