Dr Kee Yong Seng of Premier Clinic is excited to attend the latest Cadaver workshop on Applied Anatomy organized by Allergan Academy Asia Pacific at Academia, Singapore General Hospital on 15-16 June 2015.

The workshop participants were from Japan, Korea, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Well known plastic surgeon trainer and speakers are Dr Andre Braz, Brazil, Dr Sufan Wu, China and Dr Woffles Wu, Singapore.

Firstly comprehensive lectures on facial anatomy are given by the 3 speakers.
Each team of 4 doctors shared one. The doctors treated all areas with dermal fillers and Botox treatment for upper face, mid face, lower face to neck area.

After the doctors have performed the procedure with dyed filler in several different colors, they dissected the injected facial zone layer by layer, identify the vital structures including arteries, veins and nerves while checking the area of filler injection in terms of depth, layer, amount of filler and mass effect to surrounding tissue.

Our team were leads by an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr Hung Wei from China. We discussed and shared our own injection technique, tips on avoiding potential complications and debating the best technique for optimal result, efficacy and safety.

We also demonstrated the most dangerous side effect of filler injection on face – intravascular embolism. Then we used  hyaluronidase enzymes solution to dissolve the embolism immediately.
